Today we are hiking from Shira Camp 2, at 12,700 feet, to Lava Camp, at 15,000 feet. We’re all hanging on and able to talk amongst ourselves as we walk. Our guides are so attentive; we are all safe and fed and warm.

We are enjoying stunning views of Kilimanjaro’s summit whenever she peeks out from the clouds and the moon has been beautiful at night.
