Just got word via satellite phone that twelve members of the Private Journeys / Red Ribbon Foundation Women's climbing expedition reached Uhuru Peak, the summit of Kilimanjaro, at 19,340 feet early Saturday morning Oct 9th, 2010. They are now headed down on an eight-hour hike to Mweka Camp at 6,000 feet. Congratulations are in order!!!! What an exciting accomplishment!!!--Diane
